GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAMINATION: CHALLENGES FOR THE HUMAN BRAIN 7-8-9-10 September 2014

The survival of the human species and the health, well-being and longevity of the human subject, is threatened by the seemingly intractable, growing and globally pervasive problem of environmental contamination from persistent chemicals and other factors. This is of special concern in relation to the development, maturation and growth of the human brain, and the maintenance of optimal function throughout adult life and into advanced age. This  conference will focus on the brain and nervous system both as a target for chemical attack and a potential cause of dysfunction and disease, but also on the broad issue of how to harness brainpower to address the issue of environmental contamination and human health.
